QMeet Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
QMeet is built around thoughtful introductions. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how Qupid supports introductions, and the choices you have.
Effective June 12, 2026 · Version 2026-06-12
1. Who we are and how to reach us
QMeet ("QMeet", "we", "us") helps people meet through context-rich introductions guided by Qupid. The product is designed for deliberate introductions, not rapid profile browsing.
QMeet acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the service. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@qmeet.ai.
This policy is written to align with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and, for users in the European Economic Area and similar regions, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Where local law gives you stronger rights, those rights apply.
2. Who can use QMeet
QMeet is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and we ask for date of birth to enforce this. QMeet is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that an underage person has created an account, we will remove it.
3. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use QMeet. It may include:
- Account and authentication information, such as your email address, sign-in method (including Google or Apple sign-in identifiers), account identifiers, and security-related records.
- Date of birth and age information, used to confirm that QMeet is for adults only and to operate age-related safety controls.
- Onboarding answers and profile information, including the details you choose to provide about yourself, interests, preferences, location context, and what you are open to meeting people for.
- Photos and media, including profile photos, uploaded images, selected media, and related storage metadata.
- QPicks and introduction activity, such as introductions shown, accepted, skipped, expired, or otherwise acted on, and related Qupid guidance.
- Chat messages and conversation activity, including messages, thread state, delivery information, and conversation context needed to operate chat features.
- Reports, blocks, unmatches, and safety events, including user reports, moderation decisions, support records, and abuse-prevention signals.
- Device, app, and diagnostic information, such as app version, device type, operating system, IP address, crash data, logs, and reliability or security signals where applicable.
4. How we use your information
We use information to run, protect, and improve QMeet:
- create and secure your account, and verify you are an adult;
- support onboarding and profile creation;
- prepare and manage Qupid introductions;
- operate chat, conversation, and introduction features;
- provide support and respond to your requests;
- review reports, blocks, unmatches, and safety events;
- detect abuse, impersonation, spam, and security issues;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; and
- maintain reliability, debug issues, and understand app health.
5. Our legal bases for processing
Where KVKK or GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the account, introductions, and chat features you ask for.
- Your consent — for processing that relies on it, such as accepting these documents at sign-up; you can withdraw consent (see "Your rights").
- Legitimate interests — to keep QMeet safe, prevent abuse, secure our systems, and improve the service, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — to meet record-keeping, safety, and other requirements that apply to us.
6. Qupid and AI boundaries
Qupid is a QMeet feature that may use onboarding answers, profile details, and introduction activity to support introductions and guidance. Qupid is meant to help people start with more context; it does not replace your judgment or make promises about any person or relationship, and it does not claim to understand every part of a person or to predict outcomes.
We hold AI to clear boundaries:
- We do not use your private one-to-one chat message bodies to train broad foundation models.
- Qupid's guidance is not generated from your private one-to-one chat message bodies.
- We do not store raw AI prompts or outputs in our ordinary application logs. Any future retention of raw AI traces would be separate, access-controlled, time-limited, and would require your explicit opt-in for any model-improvement use.
- A data-minimized, pseudonymized derived profile may be kept to operate and improve introductions, safety, reliability, and product analytics. We treat it as personal data where it can be linked back to an account, and protect it accordingly.
- Private one-to-one chat message bodies are processed to deliver chat and may be reviewed for safety, reports, support, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and service reliability — never broadcast and never sold.
- Qupid does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
QMeet is designed to support thoughtful introductions. People remain responsible for what they share, how they communicate, and whether they choose to continue a conversation.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in these limited ways:
- Service providers. Vendors that help us with hosting, databases, media storage, email delivery, authentication, security, diagnostics, and support process information on our behalf and for QMeet's purposes only.
- Other people, by design. Your profile is shown in context to people Qupid introduces you to; your chat messages are delivered to the person you are talking with. We do not broadcast your profile as a public feed.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if needed to comply with law, protect users, prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, or enforce our terms.
- Business changes. If QMeet is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or similar event, information may be transferred as part of that process, subject to appropriate protections.
8. International data transfers
QMeet is operated from Türkiye. Our service providers may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
9. How long we keep information, and deletion
We keep information only as long as needed to provide QMeet, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and protect users.
When you delete your account, we act promptly and in layers rather than with a single switch:
- your direct personal data and login credentials (such as email, password, sign-in identifiers, display name, date of birth, and profile photo) are deleted or replaced with a non-identifying placeholder, and your account can no longer sign in;
- your profile photo's public visibility is removed right away, and your own chat message contents are cleared;
- a limited set of de-identified records — for example safety and abuse records, consent history, and aggregate/operational analytics — may be retained, linked only to a pseudonymous identifier and only where necessary and permitted by law.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or by contacting privacy@qmeet.ai.
10. Your rights
Subject to KVKK, GDPR, and other applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- delete your data or your account;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive a portable copy of data you provided;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on it; and
- learn whether your data is processed and request information about that processing.
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@qmeet.ai. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK); in the EEA, your local supervisory authority.
11. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect QMeet and user information, including access controls, encryption in transit, security logging, and provider-level safeguards. No online service can be perfectly secure, so we also rely on users to protect their accounts and report suspicious activity.
12. The QMeet website
This website (including this page and the landing page) is a static site. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies, runs no analytics or third-party trackers, and makes no background calls about you. The password-reset handoff page reads a one-time token from the page address only to open the app, and never sends it anywhere.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as QMeet changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you through the app, website, email, or another appropriate channel, and — where required — ask you to accept the updated version.
